The Ship Supply Data Reader is able to recognize IMPA codes in both article codes and description. This IMPA recognition is performed on all inbound enquiries, not only on Excel RFQ’s (or PO’s), but also from platforms like ShipServ and ProcureShip and from PDF and e-mail.
IMPA codes appear in various formats is an article code and / or description. Not only for a 6 digit consecutive code, like 123456, but also for all kinds of different formats, like 12 34 56, IMPA0123456, 12.34.56, etc.
The software is able to detect those codes, isolate them and verify the code in a table containing all IMPA codes.
By colored dots we show at every item the probability the extracted IMPA code is correct. This is done by comparing the description of the line item with the description of the article in the IMPA table.
Important note: The Ship Supply Data Reader enables the lookup from an IMPA data table. Due to licensing restrictions you must buy the IMPA data table yourself from the IMPA organization.
